Match report Copdock entertained a strong, but short on players Bury side on Wednesday. With our full squad of 10 players available and selected, Copdock batted first. Catherine Whittle yet again proved an excellent match for the Bury bowlers with 26 not out off 32 balls. Catherine was supported all the way through the order and it was pleasing to see not one player give their wicket away. With good shot selection and decisive running between the wickets, it was only good balls that took our wickets.

The good form and team work was replicated on the field with an excellent first over from Francesca Rogers. Apart from a wicket each for Annis, Emma and Amelie, it is difficult to pick the best bowlers because all girls had a bowl and showed promising signs of achieving consistent lines and length. Chasing 94 to win our highest score yet, Bury we're helped with extras, but it was pleasing to see the girls enjoying themselves and working together as a good team. A fantastic effort all round.
