Match report Maldon won the toss and inserted Copdock on a hot and humid Sunday morning in Essex. The task looked tough with huge boundaries to all sides of the ground, Vickers and Davis(E) proved that when the going gets tough, the tough get going as they put on 150 partnership for the first wicket including ten 3's in an exhibition of batting and fitness. They paced their innings at 5 an over for the first 10 and then 10 an over for the last 10, even more impressive considering Emily had only been back in the country for 6 hours.
Vickers was run out in the final over with Megan Kelland seeing out the innings. Copdock 153-1
The returning Cousins combined with Easton to account for the threatening Dack and Vickers cleaned up Danes early on, the openers shared 5 wickets, Kelland and Mayhew took 1 each. Holly Cook took a superb catch at mid off, only to be matched by a great one handed grab at point by Kelland. Copdock restricted Maldon to 77-7. Another win sees Copdock remain unbeaten on the road, top of the league with Felixstowe breathing down their necks. Well done Ladies!
