Match report After winning the toss Skipper Max chose to bowl first. The opening overs yield few runs but sadly again we rarely threatened the stump. Bowling improved from the mid point, and special mention to Henry for a sound job behind the stumps with the gloves.
Having restricted Woolpit to just 70 off the bat in 18 overs on a fast hard pitch, our openers started well, but a flurry of wickets with some poor decision making and poor shots left the game in the balance at the half way point. Josh stepped up and ably supported by Henry built a good partnership to steady the ship, and ten it was left to young Finley to show some of his older colleagues in the art of defending the good ones and hitting the bad ones with a classy not out knock at the end.
Progress being made but much to learn and much t improve upon if we are to seriously challenge the best side in the Competition ie Easton.
