Match report A glorious day after a week of rain, we won the toss and started well despite the club president being MIA.
Dick looked in top form outscoring Dave 2 to 1 in an opening partnership of 47. Archie applied himself on an uncharacteristic Copdock track (slow and low) and when Dave was caught behind we were looking good at 63 for 2. Archie went on to get 28 before the theme of the season in all teams, the Copdock collapse hit. Only Jamie Smith applied himself further down the order accumulating 25 and at least taking us to the right side of 100.
With only three recognised bowlers in the side defending 124 was always going to be tough but we started well the first 9 overs costing only 9 runs and Jamie and Dave showed that good line and length was going to make batting difficult before Jamie pulled a fetlock in his 5th over and had to come off.
Doc, took a wicket with his second ball courtesy of a phenomenal catch by Archie at short mid wicket from a full blooded pull off a long hop (I will look after your bowing figures dad).
The part time bowlers struggled and in the end we lost to a side that were there for the taking despite playing two leagues higher than us.
We did answer one question that has been puzzling the club for some time, with all three Wilkinson's on display with the ball it is clear that Flo is the best bowler in the family.
