Match report On a very hot and sunny evening at Copdock

Copdock Eagles won the toss and decided to bat.

Key points from the game were:

Copdock Eagles 113 for 2 and East Bergholt scored 111 for 4

When the Eagles batted, the team batted okay, but there was a few too many dot balls throughout the innings, so some key things still to be working on over the remaining weeks of the season, but the run scorers for the Eagles were:


Freddie Skinner out for 9
Billy Foyster retired for 17
Alex Kelly retired for 22
Henry Lamb retired for 23
William Burton out for 1
Nathan Hames retired for 13
James Taylor 3 not out
Sebastian Fox 7 not out


When the Eagles fielded, generally their bowling was okay, (with the pick of the bowlers being, Nathan Hames, who bowled his 3 overs for 17 runs and took two wickets, including bowling their best batsman for 24, and Billy Foyster bowling his 3 overs for just 9 runs, including the crucial last over for just 2 runs, the fielding was okay too, but for sure again more energy and concentration is still needed in the field, and awareness of fielding positions is still a key issue, however their was a very crucial run out by Henry Lamb in the 17th over, with a direct hit from short mid on, that made a crucial difference to the result of this game.

Thank you to Freddie Skinner for stepping in last minute and keeping wicket for us and doing a good job for someone who does not keep very often.

The team were well captained by Billy Foyster too.

For the Eagles the wickets were taken by:

and one run out

So in the end a good win by 8 runs and well done to all the team.
