Copdock & Old Ipswichian Cricket Club Won by 21 runs

Match report With no Sunday training this week, six Copdock players (unfortunately two players on the teamsheet did not turn up) and seven East Bergholt players, made the most of the rare good weather and played a very good-natured match at our neighbours' down the A12.

Overall, our positive batting beat their more accurate bowling. Despite bowling 27 wide balls from our 16 overs (guess what we're practising next Sunday!), we otherwise fielded, called and ran very well and as a team, which was especially pleasing for the coach and watching parents. With a match turning innings from our captain Freddie Skinner (who also kept wicket very well in just his second match as keeper) of 45 off 19 balls, Copdock managed to run out as eventual winners by 21 runs.

Special mention also to Oliver Pasco and Oscar Tier, each with a brace of wickets and 25 off 20 balls for Oscar.

Thanks to all the parents for their support, especially Robin (Cameron's Dad) who volunteered for the scoring role.
