Match report Firstly a big thank you to all the parents for their help and support it is appreciated and doesn’t go unnoticed by me. Also a huge thank you to Arthur Phoenix for playing through the pain to support his teammates in this crucial semifinal.

Captain Froggatt won the toss and put Melton in on a green looking track that may possibly do more than a bit early on. Opening bowler Paisley and Coe started well but were punished with anything too full or wide. The dangerous Burkitt was caught for 17 and the scoreboard slowed down as the Copdock bowlers took charge and applied great dot ball pressure. James Whittle bowled the other opener and despite some nice batting from I. Sidhu Melton could only get to 87 off the 20 overs. It should be noted that there were 17 extras in this total and going forward we need to bowl and field better with energy and control being the buzz words.

Shaanjeai and Will opened up and got us off to a decent start before Shaanjeai was caught pulling a rank full toss. Lewis Millions in at 3 played a good supporting role to Will as he started to open and found the boundary regularly. Will reaching his 50 and retiring with some powerful hitting which great to watch. Charlie Coe joined Lewis to knock off the remaining few it would seem however, Lewis was caught behind square pulling and Sam Paisley ended up the not out man with Charlie and the Melton total was passed with 8 overs to spare.

Copdock winners by 8 wickets and into the Suffolk Cup Final. Thanks to all the players, everyone played their part in this convincing win well done.
