Match report Bowling first, some tight bowling from Henry & Sachit prevented Easton from scoring quickly. Kavish, Freddie & Aashay all bowled with control as Copdock bowled only 5 wides and 1 no-ball all game. The introduction of spin saw an increase in the run rate as the Suffolk U12 opening batsman took a likely to Archie's leg-spin, however Archie bowled fantastically well, mixing up his speeds and giving the ball plenty of flight which proved successful as Charlie took an easy catch at point to get the first wicket. The second of Charlie's catches was outstanding and potentially an early season candidate for catch of the season. Diving away to his right, Charlie took a blinder of a catch to give Xander his first Copdock wicket. A very good fielding and bowling performance limited Easton to 109 off their 18 overs.

Archie & Louis opened up and ran brilliantly between the wickets. Recognising the fielders were too deep, they simply pushed singles and even twos around the ring field to keep the scoreboard moving. Louis retired for a well constructed 18 before Jevon upped the run rate hitting two 4's in quick succession. Xander then came in and was simply brilliant with the bat mixing aggression on bad bowling with sensible defence once Easton brought on their two Suffolk U12 bowlers. An all-round fantastic Copdock debut for Xander! Slight panic set in when needing only 2 to win, we completely forgot how to run between the wickets and call, as both Charlie & Aashay were run out as Kavish stood at the other end. In the end Kavish managed to hit the ball past a close in fielder and him & Henry quickly ran 2 to win the game.

Great effort by all, especially Lawsy for his two catches including the excellent diving catch, Xander for his outstanding 30 and all of the bowlers for only bowling 5 wides all game!
