Match report On a sunny evening at East Bergholt, the Crusaders played this league game
with 12 players after agreeing to play a 12 vs 12 game with East Bergholt.
Copdock won the toss and decided to field.

The Bergholt openers both batted steadily, against some accurate opening
bowling, from both Ben Tweedy and Charlie Holloway, during the first 4
overs, the introduction of Aryan Bhagat and George Quinton saw the first
three wickets fall, one to Bhagat and two to Quinton, which then started to
turn the game the Crusaders way, further good bowling from Kit Evans Lombe
and the returning B Tweedy and Holloway too, kept the Crusaders on top, with
further wickets being taken, one by Kit Evans Lombe and one by B Tweedy,
with Tweedy also running one of the Bergholt batsman out too, this left the
home side on 99 for 6 going into the last over of their innings, at this
point, captain Charlie Tweedy came on to bowl the last over and bowled very
well to take 2 wickets for 5 runs, to leave Bergholt on 104-8 at the end of
their innings. A good all round fielding performance with Ewan Green keeping
wicket well, taking a catch, a stumping and only conceding 3 byes, and also
good catches from Holloway and Cameron Towers too.

The Crusaders then struggled at the beginning of their batting innings,
finding themselves 19-2, after the first 4 overs, with Ewan Green 2 and
Charlie Tweedy 0, both falling early, but then Rufus Dunstan 19 and Towers,
who reached 30 and retired, both batted well and got the Crusaders back into
a strong position, but when Dunstan was out this then saw several wickets
fall for not many runs, with Henry Williams 0, William MacDonnell-Hannah 1,
Holloway 2, and Freddie Gledhill 3, all falling cheaply, then a couple of
partnerships between B Tweedy, with first Bhaget 3, and then second with Kit
Evans Lombe 1, seemed to be seeing the Crusaders to victory, but then some
mad running at the end of the game, saw the Crusaders lose 3 wickets to run
outs, including Quinton for 1 and the returning Towers for 30, with B Tweedy
ending up on 8 not out and the Crusaders being all out for 99.

A special thank you must go to East Bergholt Cricket club, who allowed us to
play a 12 vs 12 match. Also thanks to those that helped umpire and score.

Overall a very good game, there was lots of good individual
performances and also some good player development shown by all 12 players
in various areas of their game, and also a very good learning experience for
the players to learn from when under pressure at the end of a game and
hopefully all will improve and learn from this experience, in their future
playing careers.
