Match report The Dragons travelled to Felixstowe on a chilly night to play in the first round of the cup against old friends and rivals Fandcy. Batting first we failed to master a slow pitch and looked ring rusty with the bat losing 7 wickets, many with shots the players would not look back on fondly. On the plus side Froggat and Martson showed their class and we scrapped to 245 in our 16, not a great effort.
Thankfully we bowled and fielded better than we had batted and with Fandcy adopting a "don't get out" approach we kept the screws on, and kept the home side down to 209 so in the end a comfortable win.
Well done to James Whittle for leading the side well, the parents for some good support and Ian, Andrew and Michael for helping with the umpiring and scoring, and to Fandcy for being good hosts as ever.
Note parents players scores are their "net" batting scores after taking -5 off..
