Match report Copdock B win two out of two...

After a fairly unfortunate start to the season, were it seemed the rain came down only on a match day, Copdock B started the season with two good wins in the league, this being the second.

St Margarets won the toss and choose to bat on yet another decent Copdock wicket. Oscar Taylor and Sam Williams bowled very tight early on, only offering just 18 runs off of the first 5 overs. Unfortunately the middle overs were Copdocks down fall and St. Margarets batted well to get up to the 100 mark fairly quickly. This however, was soon stopped as Oscar Taylor came back to bowl at the death with Tommy Downie who both picked up 2 wickets a piece for not many runs. St. Margarets finished on 108/8.

Copdock also had a slow start with the bat losing the top three fairly cheaply and copdock needed someone to step up and steady the ship. The débutantes Daniel Leggett and Harry Redington, both U13s, came out and did that job. This was the turning of the innings and one that allowed 7,8 and 9 to come in and finish the job.

Overall I would like to say a big thank you to the two U13s who stepped up at the last minute and to be honest, didn't look out of place at all.
