Match report Carnegie exited the Suffolk Cup in round 2 beaten comprehensively by a stronger Bury side.

Bury won the toss and elected to bat and made a quickfire start scoring 50 off just 6 overs and having one batsmen back in the clubhouse having retired not out on 30. Although a wicket fell soon after and a degree of control was maintained by the Carnegie spinners Jack Spinner and Fergis Atkins, Bury maintained a steady run rate to reach their 100 for 2 in just 15 overs.

Toryn Whitehead took two wickets in his second spell and Finlay Shorten another but the run rate continued to climb to see Bury close on 133 in their 20 overs.

The highlight of Copdock's batting was a man of the match batting display by Harry Knights retiring on 30, but facing an ever upward spiraling run rate the Carnegie run chase fell massively short in fading light.
