Match report Copdock U13's made it a straight run of four out of four wins in meetings this season with Woolpit in yet another dramatic finish.

Carnegie fielded a team with 3 U11 players, James Meakin, James Doig and Aidan Bull (12th Man) and batting first struggled to find runs early on. Wickets began to tumble before Connor Betts came to wicket and smashed Woolpit to all four corners of the ground eventually retiring on 55 not out. Carnegie posted 96 off their 20 overs - a score neither their first team or seconds had failed to put on the board against us all season so confidenbce was high.

Woolpits innings got off to a quickish start before Charlie Lewis and Team Captain Jack Spinner ripped apart the top order. Woolpit stood at 36-3 off 7 overs. In the 9th over some inspired bowling by Cameron Morrison (double wicket maiden) saw Woolpit still ahead of the run chase at 42 for 5. Up stepped Woolpits only batsmen to post double figures Burman who steadied the ship but was only scoring because of some odd field placements by Carnegie.

Up stepped James Doig and James Meakin - the two U11's who managed to pitch the ball up and cause one or two worried moments for the home team. More wollpit batsmens wickets feel the key wicket of Burman falling to a plumb LBW decision off James Meakin.

Woolpit had nothing left and the final wicket fell with 1.3 overs to spare, Morrison claiming the final wicket.

Man of the Match - Cameron Morrison with fine bowling figures 4 for 1 off 2.3 overs, 2 of which were wicket maidens.
