Match report Our under 15's defence of their Suffolk crown started on a pleasant May evening as we wlcomed our friends from Fandcy to the club.
New captain Aisha won the toss and elected to bat against a young but plucky Fandcy team. Aisha Emma and Georgia all batted well to "get in the hutch " on the retired on 25 score, Lucy was going well until she took a blow on the head from an accidental beamer and had to retire on 20, this left Hermione and blaster Daisy, 12 off 6 balls to plunder 24 from the final two overs giving us a total of 159 from our 16 overs.
In reply 3 direct hit run outs , two from hermione and one from Emma saw an early fall of wickets, some plucky batting and poor bowling towards the end saw Fandyc reach a creditable 51 in total, with a Copdock win by 108 runs.
Notbale well dones to Tash for a good keeping effort, daisy for a good alround game and Aisha for an excellent job as skipper.
Thanks to our young opponents for their plucky efforts, Laney for great cakes and Paul for scoring for us.
Next game is Bury away on the 18th, may wll be our toughest of the season so good luck in our second game.
