Match report So to play the Oval, and on yesterdays Prem league pitch what joy.
Won the toss and got off to a flyer as Jack and Jim tucked into a series of short pitch deliveries , before Jack was out for a run a ball 50 good stuff, Dines looked good before playing around a decent nut, Jim got out then we got stuck and it looked like we might throw away the good start. Rips and Hamesy came to rescue though with a good partnership dragging us to 239 which was maybe about par on the pitch.

Haverhill had some good players up top, Ed started well and got one of them out with a good one but then they built runs and at the 25 over point looked odds on to win the game. But we dug in, Nathan bowled very well at the death at the death as did Rips, Jack do a very good boundary catch and the fielding in the last 10 was committed and supported the bowlers, so well done a good win we are on the board but i think this standard of Cricket which is a step up from last year will very much be what we are up against this year.
