Match report Convincing win from start to finish – asked to field first, the lads impressed early doors. Other than a super innings (x2) from the Melton #2, the Copdock bowlers dominated; bowling with accuracy, variation and determination. With just two wides (one harsh!) over the 18 overs, extras were minimal. Three catches went up and three were taken – catch of the innings being an Oliver Dunsford one-handed caught and bowled, taking three wickets overall. Special mention to Sankalp Patil and Rupert Moloney who only conceded three runs off their two overs respectively. Standout in the field was Ned Norman-Butler at square leg with a quality stop or two.

All the team got to bat with just the three wickets taken. Arthur Davison, Olly Ripman and George Baker all got into the 20’s and subsequently retiring. Ned would have hit 20 had it not been for the catch of the innings taken on the boundary saving a four, if not six. Special mention to Hugo Keaney for patiently waiting to bat at #8 and going to hit six runs off three balls in style, with energy and hitting first boundary of the season!

Final mention goes to Hugo Hill for taking on the captaincy and delivering on all counts…
