Match report On a cloudy, but warm, evening at Felixstowe.

Copdock Eagles won the toss and decided to bat.

Key points from the game were:

Copdock Eagles scored 172 for 6 and Felixstowe 84 for 9.

The Eagles batted well throughout and those that retired were:

Archie Miller retired twice and ended up with 54 runs in total (well batted Archie).
William Menzies retired once for 27 and then came back to score a further 21 not out, so finished up with 48 runs in total (well batted William too)
Harry Nath retired 25 including 2 big sixes.

George Wright was out for 14.
Freddie Skinner out for 11.
Torin Maynard out for 8.
James Taylor out for 3
Sam Preece out for 0.

When the Eagles bowled their wicket takers were:

Archie Miller 2 wickets
George Wright 2 wickets
Sam Preece 2 wickets
Harry Nath 1 wicket
James Taylor 1 wicket
and there was one run out

There was also one catch for Freddie Skinner

All the team bowled well, but a special mention must go to young Torin Maynard, who bowled his 3 overs, for just 8 runs in his first game of hard ball cricket with the under 11's squad, since recently moving up from the under 9's group, in his forward cricket development plan.

William Menzies kept wicket well too.

Generally the fielding was strong and the team were well captained by Freddie Skinner.

So a good 97 run win and good learning for all the team and some good performances on show too.
