Match report The girls chose to field first and quickly got going with the wickets. Some good straight bowling did the job. A few issues with wides, difficult fielding on a small field and some great shots, meant Melton were able to rack up a good competitive score. Copdock Panthers were set a hefty 321 to win. Wickets were taken by Georgia, Eliza, Emma and Bea.

We started a little slow at the beginning of our batting innings but didn't give away any wickets to some good bowling until the 5th over. Some great sixes from Izzy, Sophie, Jess and Amie kept us in the game when the required runrate was at 10! We needed 16 runs off the last two overs and it looked like we were not going to get them, with 4 needed off the last ball and their best bowler bowling. Melton girls struggled to get the ball back to the bowler resulting in 4 overthrows to give Copdock girls the match.

Well done girls for a great batting performance and especially to Jess who captained the team with confidence!
