Match report So many twists and turns in this amazing cup semi final. This was without doubt the most exciting match of our season so far and the boys did Copdock proud with their never say die attitude.

Copdock were put into bat and amassed 316-7 off 16 overs with 5 boys making double figures, and Kajeai top scoring with a stunning 31 including 7 fours. Worth mentioning a fantastic effort from our third pair of Ewan (26) and Kit (24).

Easton started their innings like a train and smashed the ball all round the park and suddenly our total was looking 20 or 30 short. Each pair that came in scored well and wickets were hard to come by and then the mistakes in the field started and things were looking decidedly dodgy for the boys. The introduction of Alex Dunning slowed things down somewhat and following a maiden first over - including a run out, he finished with the stand out bowling figures of 3-1-15-3 a remarkable effort in the circumstances. The game moved on and the tension was clearly affecting the batsmen too. Kajeai stepped up to bowl the last over. He started with a high full toss which was smashed to the boundary and called a no ball. It was now to close to call but the batting side definitely were now favourites to get the remaining few runs needed to win. The next 5 balls scored as follows, 2, dot, 1, 1, Leg Bye and 3 runs were now needed from the final ball. Kajeai fired the ball into the batsmens legs and he could only get a faint edge on the ball and send it down to fine leg. As the batsmen tried to get back for 2 there was an easy run out and the game was won!

Fantastic effort by everyone involved and a final to look forward too now. Well done boys!
