Match report Whilst absent for two weeks one due to a stupid walk and the other down to stupid weather, I became the most hated individual at the Club. Well thanks fellas, bully Banham and Gangster Gauke are the main instigators – check the brakes on your cars wise guys.

Onto the cricket – we took to the field in good spirits, bowled well; Underwood 3 for 28 and Druitt 4 for 23 the pick of the bowlers. Catchpole wasn’t helped by Mr Popular who shelled a chance off his bowling at mid off. The bruising to my hands is coming out nicely – not that you care. Anyway we restricted them to a mere 124. This despite Banham being smashed by 50 Yr old G Howlett for approx 30 of his last over. Hee Hee Hee.

We commenced our innings with M Taylor (Soggy) and Mallett. Whilst umpiring I noticed that Taylor immediately started exhibiting strange behaviour. He said everything 3 times and had pupils that were the size of dinner plates. I found this behaviour consistent with Class A drug abuse. Whilst this was going on Mallett simply breezed through the early exchanges as calm as custard. He did suggest he might be getting his leg over more often than Soggy. Anyway I returned to the changing room after my stint of umpiring and had a rummage in Soggy’s bag. It was here I found a large bag of white powder attached to a leaflet on how to maximise the affect of Cocaine. (Soggy received counselling this week and is now clean).

Anyway we all chipped in despite a slight glitch along the way and were successful in our run chase. Banham only got 17. We move to 2nd in Div 5!!!!!!
