Match report With heavy overnight rain on the Friday evening the grounds team lead by Soggy had done another incredible job in making play possible for a start after an early lunch at 1pm.

Copdock's captain James East won the toss and loves to bowl first, so he did again.

Having been Fairly poor with the ball and in the field the previous week the side knew that improvement was needed. The captain led the way with the first wicket, caught behind by Chris Warn. Tom Rash replaced Matt Wareing and bowl superbly, aided by a strong following wind. Tom ripped the heart from the Burwell side and returned excellent figures of 5 for 25.

In fact none of the spinners were used as Matt, Tom and James combined to take 9 of the wickets. Matt bowled well to take 3 for 18 and James was his usual misery self in bowling 10 overs for 17 runs.

Burwell were dismissed for only 62 runs - which was not a reflection of a good pitch at the Copdock Oval.

Copdock started the reply in brisk fashion, with Chris Swallow and Martyn Cull getting off to a decent start. There was a slight wobble as both openers, Jed and Overseas Star Cody Chetty departed fairly swiftly. However Tom Rash and Hugh Thomas saw the team home and Copdock chased the target down for the loss of 4 wickets. With the early lunch the game was actually finished inside one session. Great win for the side.
