Match report Well Pheonix got their season off to a streaky winning start. The performance of the night was undoubtably from the parents whose supported in umpiring, scoring, drinks etc was great, big thanks to Paul M as well.

On the pitch I think the phrase "rusty" would be well used, in 16 overs we bowled 28 wides!!!, and when we batted I wondered at times if most of our side had ever played the game before. That said Daniel C at least played well, but even at the end we nearly snatched defeat by some crazy batting and loss of wickets.

Special mention to Joe who did well in his first hard ball game and Monty who kept encouragingly.

lets hope the only way is up after this performance, as we have lots to learn and much to improve upon .
