Match report The sun shone brightly again for Coach Quinton and the Sharks in an encounter that was closer than the scores suggest. Felixstowe won the toss and inserted Copdock and after an early flurry of wickets the Sharks gradually built a score of 286, the highlights of this innings came from Max Cowan and Varun Sharma with two sixes from Max and some handsome driving from Varun entertaining the supporters of both teams.

Copdock Sharks again made a slow start with the ball as Felixstowe remained ahead of the run rate at the halfway mark, enter Matthew Wilson, who with a wicket maiden followed by a double wicket maiden kick-started a run of regular wicket taking, Harry ‘the hat’ Spinner, Max Cowan and Varun Sharma also making inroads into the Felixstowe batting order. A special mention for Charlie Peartree who enjoyed his first ever over for the club and we look forward to many more.

The Sharks finished a great game winners by 22 runs, extending their excellent start to this season in a game full of skill and spirit from both teams.

A final huge thank you goes to the parents who were able to share scoring and umpiring duties on the night, this makes a huge difference to the coach and players on a match day and is greatly appreciated. Jim
