Match report Graham Underwood and a couple of others apart we were absolutely dreadful. One of the worst 2nd XI performances I can remember. Not happy!!

On a cold, wet and windy date Copdock lossed the toss and were made to field first. Underwood was simply outstanding - 15 overs, 6 for 22. Brilliant. The rest of the bowlers struggled with conditions and somehow Earls Colne managed to reach 168. If we had bowled or fielded anything like it would/should have been much less. Disappointing.

Nonetheless, it was still a way below par score. Or so it seemed. Unfortunately the batting frailities that had let us down early season returned and we collapsed to about 50 for 5. That made Underwood came to the crease and his quickfire 20 odd at least got some momemntum back into the innings. James Wheaton and Drezza then batted well to get us reasonably close but with Drez and then Muckle fell in quick succession we were left well short of the target.

Awful performance, deserved to lose to a team we should beat comfortably. Local rivals IES next week - we had better play a million times better against that lot.
