Match report We were thumped!! Not much to say about this game - We were dreadful, Stowmarket played well and in the end we were lucky to only lose by 10 wickets!!

The game started well enough. Copdock won the toss, chose to bat (on a road) and after 10 overs were about 40 for 0 - Virendar Banham leading the way with an excellent 40. After that it all went wrong....

The batting collapsed quicker than a ginger bloke out in the sun and without Oliver Gravell's and Stuart Ward's 10th wicket partnership we would have got a lot less than 156. Unfortunately the Copdock bowling was even worse!!

The 2nd ball of the Stowmarket innings went for 6 and that set the tone. Basically, they smashed it everywhere. All the bowlers came in for heavy punishment and the runs were knocked off in 20 overs (that's a run rate of 8 per over!!).

A bad day at the office. The challenge now is to ensure this goes down as a blip and not anything more serious...
