Junior Section
This season will see over 200 young cricketers playing and practising cricket as a member of the Club. We run teams at Under 11,13, 15 and 19 levels, plus a "Rascals" team for an even younger age group and a girls side.
Offering quality coaching, by a qualified team, delivered in a friendly and inclusive manner, has been the essence of the staggering growth we have experienced in recent years.
The junior section benefits from being managed by its own sub committee and driven by this committee, the Club has achieved both Clubmark status and became one of only 22 ECB focus clubs in Suffolk. We have invested heavily in new nets, an artificial pitch, covers and state of the art video technology to ensure we remain at the forefront of coaching techniques. This all means we can now offer some of the very best practice facilities anywhere in the area.
The club is always keen to welcome new members where space allows, but be prepared to get involved as this is a given within our club ethos, and a requirement of membership. We offer lots of different opportunities from umpiring games, manning the bar, to making refreshments, so there is a space and a time to include everybody. If you are looking for a club to drop off your children and run, we would advise you maybe look elsewhere as this is not the way we work.
The juniors compete in the Suffolk youth league at under 7 9, 11,13 and 15 level, and all these sides also compete in the Suffolk Cup. Our girls compete in the Suffolk league which runs under the "Lady Taveners badge".
So if you are interested in joining the fasting growing, and most dynamic junior club in the area get in touch with our Membership Secretary: membership@copdockandoicc.co.uk

Alongside each age group manager is a professional, appointed, head coach who will be at least a level 2 qualified. They will be supported by a volunteer group of level 1 assistant coaches, so each team will have in effect its own dedicated "cell" of support people.
