Copdock & Old Ipswichian Cricket Club Lost by 9 runs

Match report On the most lovely sunny evening of the year the Pheonix lost to Stowmarket, a team simply much more committed than we where on the night. Fielding first we bowled ok with James F, and Isaac H taking the honours. In the filed there were odd glimpse of good, notably run outs from Isaac and Jev, that aide our fielding was simply awful with at least 4 boundaries being achieved by way of the ball going right thru one of fielders, in stark contrast to the Stow boys commitment to stop the ball.
Our batting faired little better with a series of poor run outs caused by the wrong person calling etc. James and Jev tried hard at the end, by they were left to much to do and the damage had been done earlier. Thx to Amelie for stepping in and showing her peers how to stop the ball in the field.
Some good hard looks in the mirror needed by most of our side who need to take much more personal responsibility for their learning and performances.
Well played to Stow inc their expensive one match loanee Lucas Howard, deserved winners on the night
