Match report A competitive match at last.

Whilst I would have preferred a narrow win, I will take a narrow defeat over an easy win any day. Good teamwork all round and great captaincy from Charlie Holloway

Whilst Kajeai has finally lost a wicket in this form of the game, he is now on a Super Eights batting average of 112! Ewan also continues to score at more than a run a ball, however, we were kept to a total of 110 by some sharp fielding.

Good bowling from the Copdock boys, especially Kajeai (who was somewhat hampered by an awkwardly placed drain cover which meant that he had to bowl around the wicket, nullifying any chance of LBW) and Aryan Bhagat (making up for his first ball duck), with two wickets a piece. There were wickets also for Dylan Patel and Charlie Holloway, who also martialled the part-time bowlers Ewan Green and Monty Brown who ended up with the best economy figures, bowling to a plan (to avoid their better batters returning!).

Match became very close in the end and whilst in theory we could have reduced their total by taking further wickets (team losing 3 runs for each returning batter), common sense prevailed and I ended the match in the penultimate over before it became pitch dark!
