Match report Another very good win for the U15's.
The Copdock innings got off to a flyer as Jacob and Will Marston set about scoring quickly on a very green Ransomes pitch which had variable bounce. An opening partnership of 110 between the Marston brothers was a lesson on how to attack poor bowling whilst also being respectful of the conditions. Jacob retired with another excellent 50 and then Will was unfortunately given out stumped on 42. Some big hitting from Charles and Joe meant that the boys reached 157-1 off 20 overs.
With a halftime team talk encouraging good fielding on a dreadfully bumpy outfield and full bowling, the boys headed out to field with Luke Frogatt taking the gloves. Some very accurate and full bowling at the start of the innings meant that after 10 overs only 29 runs had been scored. St. Margarets eventually finished on 116 off their 20 overs due to 57 extras being conceded and some erratic bowling - something to consider for the next match.
On the whole a very convincing win and a big well done to Jacob and a Will for their awesome opening partnership and also to Oscar who bowled superbly with figures of 4-2-5-1.
