Match report On a chilly evening the Dragons welcomed Fandcy to the Oval.

Batting first we made a great start raising to 22 off the first 2 overs with both Daniel and Will playing very positively, Sadly Will was then run out for a breezy 9, Will F joined Daniel and these two found the boundary regularly as we raced to 80-1 at the half way point. After Daniel retired, Fandcy took the pace off the bowling, sat deep in the field, and with boundaries drying up, and us unable or reluctant to run 2's our rate slowed. Charlie played 2 great shots before missing a straight one, and Oli M and James scrambled at the end to get us to 142 a total we would have take at the start, but slightly disappointing having been 80-1 off 10!.
In the field we produced a solid display, the Fandcy openers both played well, and again gave us a lesson in running between the wickets before Finlay was finally run out for 19, Dan N then retired shortly after wards and this effectively ended the game as a competition hard as the other Fandcy players tried. James D again bowled well for us , our fielding at times was good, Lewis taking a good catch and at times it was sloppy.
But overall a decent effort and arguably our best overall effort so far and good to see in the review players taking some real personal responsibility for their performances which can only bode well.
