Match report A team performance throughout despite the high temperatures. The team behaved well, focused on their game and remained in the game for the duration - very impressed with their attitude throughout. We implemented last weeks relationship building training and now need to think about how to develop exactly what motivational words to use to one another on the field.

177 for 4 of 18 overs truly represents a strong batting performance. Everyone made a strong contribution. Big hits, quick opportunistic singles. Only 2 call wobbles - otherwise an impressive performance from all. Good shot selection, quick first runs and a reminder that we have to respect the straight well pitched ball.

Against a stronger side, 177 might not have been enough. Bowling too short on an artificial wicket which offered little bounce could have been our undoing. However, taking 9 wickets (+45 runs) still took effort and energy.

Some solid fielding saved boundaries and the skippers (Will) field placement was well considered.

Nice to see Cooper returning to form. Henry scored well - some skyward, but some lovely cover drives. Hugo tucked into leg side deliveries well as did Elijha. George played some short balls well and Oliver and Griff took some sharp singles to keep the runs flowing. Finnan lead well and set the tone for keeping the ball down. Almost all runs were run fast and there was an enthusiasm to score more.

Hugo and Finnan shared the keeping job and did well.

Overall, good decision making, good teamwork in the heat.
