Match report The U13 cup side travelled to Teddington Cricket Club in West London for the London & Eastern Region Finals Day of the U13 National Cup. Heavy traffic and some 'dodgy' navigation lead to a delayed start.

Copdock lost the toss and bowled first against a strong Indian Gymkhana side. The openers settled in against some tight bowling from Charlie & Shaanjeai, rotating the strike where possible and hitting a bad ball to the boundary. The batting side were ruthless on anything short on a wet pitch thanks to persistent rain which saw the players come off the field on numerous occasions. The breakthrough came when Lucas had Ishaan caught sharply by Charlie. However, the Gymkhana batters continued to punish any bad bowling, with the fielders struggling in tough slippery conditions. A mixup between the two batters saw Vishnu run out by Lucas but Gymkhana finished on a daunting 187-2 off their 20 overs.

Louis & Charlie opened up with Louis using the pace from the Gymkhana opener to hit a 4 first ball but he soon mis-timed a driver to cover. Shaanjeai joined Charlie and pushed the score onto 35-1 off 5 overs. A couple of wickets fell whilst Charlie continued to push the fielders by running quickly between the wickets and dismissing bad balls to the boundary before retiring on 33 from 24 balls. Lucas was joined by Jevon after Aashay was out LBW, with the pair rotating the strike in the middle overs but the required run rate led to Lucas being stumped for 19 and Jevon caught on the boundary for 18. Frank hit a quick fire 15 at the end of the innings but 188 proved too many to chase as Arthur was bowled on the last ball of the game.

A valiant effort by all the lads in terrible cricket conditions against a very talented Indian Gymkhana side who were the eventual winners of the London & East Region.
