Match report Copdock travelled to Middle Earth, turned left and continued for another 30 mins to meet bottom of the table Little Bardfield. A much changed side again saw debuts for Sjanani X2, Burman and season debuts for Druitt, Pope and Sharpe.
Flopdock fielded again first and started steadily with only 34 coming off the first 11 overs. However as the chances went down the run rate went up. In an effort to find a breakthrough East shuffled his pack but to little avail. Eventually Ankit made the breakthrough but by this time Bardfield batsmen were well placed at 150 off 30 overs. As the dropped catches reached double figures so did the run rate. Skipper East's day was summed up in an over which saw two missed chances before he was deposited into the carpark where the ball thumped into his car. In truth we were lucky to get of the field alive. Ironfist having gone down like he'd been shot when bowling and a collision between Druitt and Ankit lucky to not have done more damage.
At tea, talk was that 287 for 3 looked like a tough ask. Snorey and Sharpe began the reply and were soon moving along well before Sharpe was bowled pulling a half volley and replaced by Leggy. Continuing his form from last week Leggy attacked whenever possible and soon was past a well made 50 at better than a run a ball. When we has out in the 30th over Flopdock were 142 for 2, just 8 runs behind Bardfield at the same time. However things went downhill from here pretty quickly and soon Flopdock were 189 for 9 with 10 balls remaining, short of the 200 target which would give 5 batting points. Thankfully East and Meakin ensured they limped over the line but in reality Bardfield were worthy winners.
