Match report A dominant 9 wicket win for the Cardinals over Felixstowe was the near perfect team performance.

Bowling first, the Felixstowe batters struggled to score quickly despite the small boundaries, rapid outfield and road of a pitch. Freddie took two good catches off the bowling of Archie, whilst James snaffled a tough chance off his own bowling. The innings for Felixstowe never really got going as tight bowling from all and committed fielding kept the score down and despite one batsman scoring quickly no one could follow suit, Copdock needed 128 to win.

Xander & Archie strode to the crease with instructions of "just smash it" with the plan to get off to a flyer and get ahead of the run rate early. The pair responded brilliantly, Xander smoked it everywhere hitting a big 6 down the ground to the longest boundary and with positive running between the wickets, Copdock were 69-0 off 7 overs and hurtling towards a comfortable victory as both Xander (31*) & Archie (23*) retired. Whilst not in the same aggressive way, Louis continued to punish poor bowling and sloppy fielding. Algie was the only wicket to fall, as a leg-spinner turned and clipped off-stump. Connor obviously wanted to get home super early as he proceeded to whack 7 fours to all but seal a Copdock Victory, before having to retire on 30. Aman & Henry saw us home to a 9-wicket victory over Felixstowe.

A fantastic effort by all and it was great to see plans we had spoken about before the season and the game being executed superbly.
