Skipper Ollie Stace continued his consistent streak, losing the toss again, and Felixstowe opted to bat first. Stace opened the bowling with a maiden and Luke Froggatt bowled the 2 nd , taking the wicket of Finn Shepherd, clean bowled for a duck, with the last ball of the over. Froggatt bowled Jaryd Challis in his next over and Felixstowe were 11 for 2. At the end of the 5 th , the score was 17 for two. Finn O’Reilly bowled the 6 th . Fergus Atkins bowled the 7 th . In the 9 th Atkins took another wicket, bowled, and the score was 30 for 3. At the end of the 10 th , a maiden bowled by O’Reilly, Felixstowe were on 30. Dillon Hatcher bowled the 12 th , bowling J Steel with his 2 nd ball, at the end of which Felixstowe were 35 for 4. Atkins’ final figures were 4-1- 3-1. George Offord came on to bowl the 15 th , and Felixstowe were 42 for 4 at the end of the over. Tom Jermy bowled the 16 th . Froggatt came back and at the end of the 17 th Felixstowe had moved to 53. Harrison Challis was run out in the next over, after a mix up, and Jermy took the 6 th wicket, caught and bowled. O’Reilly bowled the 19 th and Stace the 20 th . Felixstowe finished on 72 for 6, with Tom Sidhu, Felixstowe’s opening batsman, undefeated on 27. It was a total that was never likely to be enough against the Cardinals’ strong batting line-up.

Chasing this relatively low target, without any drama Dan Leggett and Fergus Atkins very impressively knocked off the required runs before the end of the 12 th over to put the Cardinals through to the semi-final stage. Atkins was unbeaten on 29 and Leggett undefeated on 33.
