Match report On another Sunny evening at Copdock, with the ground looking as lovely as ever.

East Bergholt won the toss and decided to field.

The Crusaders got off to a good start with Ben Hunt batting well and making (20) before he was caught, this then saw a steady flow of wickets fall, With Rocco Hembry (4) Sebastian Hembry (1) William Mcdonnell-Hannah (1) all being dismissed, to leave the Crusaders on 40-4, at this point Aryan Bhagat (16) and Cameron Towers (8) put on a good partnership, and with the addition of a lot of extras took the Crusaders up to 80-4, but then 6 wickets for just 11 runs were lost, with Charlie Holloway (0) Kit Evans Lombe (1) George Quinton (0) and Matthew Wilson (0) all falling, as well as Towers and Bhagat too, leaving Max Dawson not out (1) and the Crusaders were all out for 91. This was a below par score and had the Crusaders not been helped by 38 extras, then the score could have been even further below par, there was also some good catching and fielding by the Bergholt team and that helped them to bowl the Crusaders out, with still two overs left.

The Crusaders started well in the field, with a run out made by some good fielding from Mcdonnell-Hannah and also Holloway picking up a wicket with an LBW decision too, this leaving Bergholt on 16-2 after 4 and leaving the Crusaders still looking like they were in the game at this stage, but then after that the Crusaders only managed to pick up one more wicket, with Evans Lombe taking a good catch, off the bowling of Bhagat, but then the rest of the Bergholt batsmen batted well, and this saw them home, to the win by 7 wickets, with 5 overs still to go, there was some good bowling from Holloway, bowling his four overs for only 17 runs and the rest of the bowlers bowled tidally too, but at the end of the day the Crusaders had not scored enough runs to make it a close contest.

This is the third game this season against Bergholt and although the Crusaders have lost all three games, all the games have been played in a good spirit and have been enjoyed and well contested by all.
