Match report Overall another good win for the U15's.
A good positive start from Jacob and Joe set the tone and a score of 200 was looking likely. A 74 run partnership was then interrupted by Jacob being bowled on 47, coming agonisingly short of a 4th U15 half-century this season. From that point onwards, wickets continued to tumble at a frightening rate. Max Ross run out without facing, Oscar stumped first ball charging the spinner and Sam out bowled 2nd ball trying to hit the parked cars in the IES car park! A vital 9 runs from Joe Ross and a steady 11* by Luke meant that Copdock reached 126 off 20 overs. Someway short of par on a surprisingly good dog poo park!
Line and length bowling was key as wides were going to cost us. Brilliant bowling all-round by all 5 bowlers. Byron extremely unlucky not to get a wicket or two as he bowled the best out of the 5. James produced another magical spell of bowling, similar to his spell at Woolpit, leading to figures of 3-9. Sam bowled well and excellent sportsmanship by Church lead to his first wicket. Clearly an edge behind, umpire gave it not out before Church walked.
