Match report Managed to get a team out, despite the early start, some coming straight from an athletics meeting (no warming up then) and some who had divided loyalties between club and school!

We batted first and struggled to 257 for the loss of six wickets. Ben and Ewan were are leading pair, making 31 runs, whilst several of the pairs went backwards: pinned down in their crease by some tight fielding from the Ipswich School boys. We do need to be taking every opportunity for runs.

When it was out turn in the field, we were not as tight as Ipswich and with their more confident calling and confident running, the game was starting to slip away at the start of their innings. The fielding was solid in parts (great stumping from Ewan and two sharp run-outs from Oli Jay) and woeful in others (three separate overthrow runs on one ball - probably available on You-Tube by now!).

However, our bowling overall was very good; particular mentions to Dylan (Most consistent line/length), Oli, Ben and Shaanjeai (standing in again), taking 12 wickets in all and effectively winning us the game by some margin.

Thanks to Siva for doing the scoreboard for our innings, it certainly helps the boys seeing the running total whilst they're playing, and also to all our long-suffering parents: painful watching at times, but ultimately rewarding!
