Match report After a plethary of late calls offs and a no show the Pheonix were down to the very bare bones , and were gratefull to young Shannjeal for stepping in to bring us up to 8.

Batting first we never really got into our stride and no batter made double figures, once again calling and playing full straight balls challenged us , though Kajeal played some nice shots as did Kit at the end , and Monty looked stylish without being able to pierce the field. A total of 312 owed much to the 72 extras we received from the opposition .

Our bowling in general was much improved and a team total of 12 wides good progress well done all. Monty ( I cant bowl) Brown took the honours with great figures of 4-11, he was well backed up by Oli, Tom l and Skipper Harry D who set some good fields.

Our fielder was a mixture of good and no so, with a great catch by Kit, a good run out by Tom l and Ewan only conceding 2 byes and getting a stumping leading the way. Special mention to young Shannj who fielded well behind Ewan and read the game well.

Thanks to Tim for scoring, be nice to get back to parental support for umpiring please if we can, two games to go for the Pheonix, if we can win both there is still hope for the league title...
