Match report With the toss won by new skipper Chris Sparrow, St Margarets were asked to bat first.
Jamie Smith & Chris Sparrow opened the bowling, Jamie bowled to his usual high standard and had the openers out in his first two overs, a top draw run out by young Jack Mexome on his senior debut and a wicket from Chris put the home side on 20 for 4. Another wicket from Jamie and St Margarets were 31 for 5, this looked like all they had however their number six bat (FIRST TEAM PLAYER) then put on a sixth wicket partnership of 68 runs of which he scored at least 50. Tactics were needed and Jamie Smith was brought back on to try and get him out. However his wicket was taken not by Jamie but by Michael Strand who bowled a lovely ball just outside of leg stump which he tried to dispatch past Toby Allerton at mid wicket, Toby had other ideas as the 6ft plus man stooped low to take a superb catch. With nothing much left for the home side Jack Mexome two wickets and Tom Jermy one wicket mopped up the tail. St Margarets 117 all out.

Toby Allerton and the Bursar opened the batting requiring 118 runs off 58 overs. 37 runs were on the board before Peter Boughton was cleaned bowled by one of the poorest balls I have seen bowled for a long time. Nick Meakin followed soon after only scoring 1. Then old stalwarts John Cuff with a quick 22, Scott Wootton 21 not out and opener Toby 53 not out saw us home with twenty overs t spare. Copdock 121 for 3

Copdock 3XI win by 7 wickets and twenty points to boot.

Good first win for the new team and a big congratulations to the two youngsters Jack Mexome & Tom Jermy for a good display of cricket on their senior debuts.
