Match report After a good win last weekend the first eleven played at home this weekend against a Norwich side that had a reputation as a strong batting unit.

A couple of changes to the side this week. John East stepped down after coming out of retirement to help and entertain the troops last week and Reuben Sharpe was given a week in the seconds.

Captain James East won the toss and decided to bowl first. I must say that the ground currently looks incredible and Chris Sutton the Norwich captain mentioned was a beautiful place Copdock was. The track also looked amazing.

Tom Rash and James east kept things pretty tight early on and Tom Rash looked threatening again and always looks like nipping a couple out. With Tom taking 3 early wickets and James one Norwich were 30-4.

Norwich had a little partnership and headed to lunch 100-6. Tom Jenkin has a decent little bowl for the first time this season and looks like it did him good as he was back to old ways and when Norwich were bowled out for 163 he ended with 3 wickets. In fact the wickets were shared around. Tom rash and jenko got 3 and Chris swallow and James east got 2. A pretty good performance.

Archie and Chris opened the batting and both went early ish. Archie without scoring and Chris for 18 after some lusty blows. Jed Cawkwell who has been in tremendous form this season was joined by Martin Cull and they put on 70 to take the game away from Norwich. When Martin was out for 30 odd Norwich thought they had a way back in. But to continue his good game Tom Rash scored a swift 40 and with Jed they saw the boys home with ease.
With Chris Warne, James and Hugh Thomas still to bat it goes to show we should be able to set big targets too.

A great win. We are still second in the league and starting to play good cricket.
