Match report Copdock Phoenix bounced back from back to back defeats in friendlies to continue their impressive league form oputting FandCY to the sword in impressive style.

Credit has to go to the whole team for playing in some very unusual positions this evening as batters were given an opporunity to bowl and bowlers an opportunity to bat.

Being asked to bat first openeres Oscar Taylor (17) and James Meakin (32*) scored freely as did the batsmen that followed - namely Watson (14) and Downie (31*). Three quick wickets fell which brought in the regular batsmen however FandCy had kept some of their better bowling back and it paid dividends as big hitters Hughes and Doig both went without troubling the scorers.

Puckey, Potter and Bott all contributed as the tail wagged to set FandCY a large run chase of 150 to win.

Throughout Felixstowes innings regular wickets fell with no batsmen getting into double figures, but runs were leaked in extras as Copdocks part-time bowlers struggled to keep the ball straight.

Despite this Doig (3.5-0-15-4) and Hughes (3-0-20-3) shared seven wickets supported by a tidy spell of 4-0-19-1 from Bott.

Felixstowes final wicket fell in the 5th ball of the 16th over to secure Phoenix's unbeaten run of 5 out of 5 in the league with only the 'old enemy' left to play.
