WELCOME TO THE COPDOCK & OLD IPSWICHIAN CRICKET CLUB WEBSITE
Two Counties Champions 2011 / Piri Piri NECL Champions 2011

With its roots in the villages of Copdock and Washbrook, Copdock Cricket Club was founded in 1842. Merged with the Old Ipswichians in 1997, Copdock & Old Ipswichian C.C. is now one of the largest and most successful Clubs in the area. We run four senior mens teams, a thriving Ladies XI and a junior section that sets the standard for junior cricket in Suffolk and beyond.

The 1st XI were crowned Division One champions of the Two Counties Cricket Championship in both 2009 and 2011, and are competing in the elite East Anglian Premier League for the first time in 2012. This represents the highest standard of club cricket it is possible to play and is testament to how far the Club has progressed in recent years.

In 2012 our 2nd XI will be seeking promotion, the 3rd XI will continue to provide an invaluable player pathway from junior to senior cricket, the Sunday 1st XI will be hoping to retain the NECL Premier League title and the Ladies XI are competing in the Two Counties Ladies Championship for the first time.

Often described as the "jewel in our crown" is our phenomenal Junior Section. Having been one of the first clubs in the county to achieve ECB Clubmark accreditation, 2012 will see 200 young cricketers playing and practising cricket as members of the Club this season. At this level winning is clearly not everything, but it certainly helps!!! 2011 saw every age group achieve unprecedented success and is evidence of the incredibly high standard of coaching all our juniors receive.

All this is set in a wonderful ground which now has facilities that are the envy of most in Suffolk cricket. A playing surface fit to stage regular prestige fixtures and a modern clubhouse set in the landscape of a village setting is a joy to behold.

Please explore our website to learn more about all of this, and don't hesitate to get in touch if you would like to get involved....
